People kill the sperm whale for their spermaceti and other products such as the sperm oil. The spermaceti is important as they can be found in machine oil, soap, cosmetics and candles. The dhloe catch disease easily. It is also health risk to humans. The dhole waste was found to contain roundworm, cestodes and other
endoparasites. It can also catch rabies like a other canines. In the 1940s the dhole infected villages in the Biligirirangan hills in India.
